Ok, ok we can talk about it more and unpack what I mean.
I have been thinking a lot recently about men specifically and how we operate. See I was raised that you don't talk about it, whatever "it" is. And you figure it out. You certainly don't admit you have a problem or need help.
Now, fast forward to today, I'm older, wiser, and better looking! As I look around, I see men of all ages struggling and they are silently screaming for help on the inside but terrified to ask for help.
This could be in marriage and relationship, this could be in their body (they're fat and out of shape) This could be in their mental game, how they think about themselves and others. How they know they need to study but don't.
This could be in their spiritual walk with God, they've neglected it. Finally, this can be in their business life, whether they are a business owner or employee, it does not matter.
At the end of the day we all have struggles, we all face times when we don't know what to do and go down dark, dark holes in our minds which then manifest in drinking, overeating, not treating our spouses and other relationships well and we wonder why quite honestly our life has gone to shit!
Can you relate to any of this? Don't worry there is no quiz and no one around you knows you're reading this, get VERY honest with yourself. You' as a man (or woman) are in a place where you're not happy, you're stuck in an area or areas of your life and don't know what to do...
So WHAT DO YOU DO?
You flipping ask for help!
See there are the 5 Health Indicators For Life (read more here) and each one of them are:
physical health
spiritual health
mental health
relationship health
business health
So, if you're fat, out of shape, eating like crap, and don't know what to do find someone TODAY that workout, takes care of themselves, and eats right.
If you have a crappy relationship with God, you've neglected to have a relationship with him, find someone TODAY that has a relationship with God and a prayer life that you admire and ask them for help.
If you are in a spot where you haven't opened your mind, studied, or have not learned anything new in a long time (maybe since college or high school for some of you,) Start TODAY and pick up a book, a book on thinking better, a book on learning about nutrition, a book on how to do your job better, a biography of titan in an aspect of life. - Find someone that loves to study as an accountability partner.
If you have a terrible relationship with your significant other, with your kids, or even those around you, you need to examine yourself, where are you failing. Start TODAY and make a phone call, send a text message, do a facetime, and start moving in the right direction. Whatever that looks like, a date night a drink with an old friend, breakfast with your kiddos. - Find someone you admire that has always done amazing at marriage or friendships and ask for help TODAY.
If you're not where you want to be in your career or business whether as a business owner or employee, find someone TODAY who is and ask them to mentor you, study what they do, what they do, and imitate.
Throughout the last few minutes as you've been reading you've probably noticed I've said two things over and over again.
Do it TODAY
Find someone to HELP you, someone you ADMIRE, LOOK UP TO
See the thing is, trying to do it all alone in life is stupid. Not asking for help is stupid. Not having coaches and mentors is stupid.
The acceleration, success, and overall health and well-being of you and your family can happen when you finally stop lying to yourself and admit that you need help and you start getting serious about fixing the gaps.
Some of us have gaps in every area of the 5 Key Health Indicators For Life. Some of us have them in specific areas. Whatever the case I PLEAD with you to stop trying to do it on your own, get your ego out of the way and start seeking out people that can help, books that can help, etc.
