3 places I love in Steinbach

Hi everyone! First of all I would like to note; There are more then 3 places in Steinbach I love, BUT I wanted to highlight 3 in this post, and moving forward I will show more love for South East Manitoba.

My family and I live in Steinbach Manitoba. Both my wife and I grew up in South East Manitoba and although I've thought of moving away, I haven't. And even if I was to at some point, my heart will always be here in the South East.

With that being said, I wanted to start taking my own advice in some of my Facebook and Youtube videos and highlight, give some love to and talk about the communities(s) I'm a part of and live close to. Today, in this post I want to highlight 3...So let's get going!

Old Church Bakery

I love Old Church Bakery because they are local. The business owners are local and they run their business as if it was still a small town old school store, which I greatly appreciate. And, most importantly, they allow me to be able to eat bread and helped me figure out it was even possible. I went in one day to buy a treat for my wife (they make the best sticky buns), and got to talking to one of the owners and bakers working the counter. I was telling them how I loved homemade baked goods, but in the last 8 years or so, I had developed a gluten intolerance and could not eat bread... She then explained to me about Sour Dough bread and how it's made, and how the fermenting kills some of the things that hurt folks like me with a gluten intolerance. I trusted her, bought a loaf of their bordelaise sour dough loaf and had 1 slice for breakfast. I was fine and then spent the whole weekend eating a WHOLE loaf of delicious bread... So, as you can imagine, I am very grateful to them for not only their baked goods, but for the deep knowledge and love they have for what they do...Thank you! (go check them out!)

Chino's

I specifically want to highlight Chino's, not because their pizzas are awesome (which they are). It's not because the sell real gelato that my wife loves (which they do). I want to highlight them because the atmosphere is amazing. You can go for a meeting, with friends, or on a date and have a real conversation. It's quiet, low key and not a single television set in sight! So the next time you're hoping to go out and have awesome conversation try Chino's, it won't disappoint!

H & R Block Steinbach

I know H & R Block itself is not a local business but the H & R Block Steinbach staff are amazing, and although they work in a building with a national brand on it, they treat you like you are friends and neighbors which is very rare these days! This is the 3rd year I'm working with them and could not be happier with their speed, professionalism and a small town feel!

I would love to hear from you on what some of your favorite places where you live are...
