At Brawling Business School we believe that life is "everything or nothing" with that in mind we have come up with our "5 Key Health Indicators For Life" this is how we live our life, this is how we look at everything and we grade ourselves on this scale. What we're going to do is talk you through each one of these in more detail but here they are as bullet points...

5 Key Health Indicators Of Life:

  • physical health

  • spiritual health

  • mental health

  • relationship health

  • business health

Now please don't check out just because you read the 5-points because we're going to go through and unpack them and show you why they are important for growth, success, everything else in life.

You can't be succesful in only one area that is why life is everything or nothing.

To start with our 5 Key Health Indicators Of Life are in order of greatest importance, they are all #1 but you have to have them in this order to win.

Why are they in order:

  • Physical Health must come first because if it doesn’t EVERYTHING else on the list suffers. Enough said.

  • Spiritual Health is next because your relationship with God should be paramount. If you believe in something different or nothing we're glad you're here we love everybody and don't discriminate we just believe in God.

  • Mental Health is next, I'm sure you've heard this before but when you're on an airplane they tell you to put your oxygen mask on first before you help others.  If you aren’t working on yourself, working on a positive mental attitude, studying to understand yourself and others better, studying your craft and business better you can't be of service to others whether at work, at home, or in your community.

  • Next up is your Relationship Health if you're married it starts with your marriage and then your kids, then it circles out from there to your other relationships, other family members, friends, and community. If you don't have strong and healthy relationships in your life you're not going to be as effective as you could be in other areas because toxic relationships, problems at home WILL BLEED OVER.

  • Business Health is next whether you have your own business, work for a small business, or are an employee in a large organization this applies to you, you need to be looking at how you're operating day to day, how your progressing, and winning in business.

This is simply an overview and in time we will unpack these in more detail but know that this is part of our life and business philosophy here at Brawling Business School and are excited to share them with you. - Now that you have a macro understanding of each one of the 5 Key Health Indicators Of Life, let's talk about measuring them.

I'm sure you've heard this before but what gets measured in life can be improved, that's why businesses have Key Performances Indicators (KPI's) Well our 5 Key Health Indicators Of Life is our life grader, our KPI's for how we're personally doing.

Before we dive into the scoring and what to do next you probably noticed as you go through that question 1 and question 5 we're pretty close to the same question, that was by design. What I've found is that when you answer the first question it's usually from a place of awesomeness or ego which is fine BUT as you go through the next questions if you're introspective you will see where you really are in those areas and when you get to question 5 you'll have a truer understanding of where you are. Now let's dive into the scoring.

Scoring:

first, if you scored 30-points you should not be here, you clearly are a superhuman freak of nature who has no room for improvement and should be fighting crime like superman or something!

If you scored anything less than 30. GOOD. That was the point of this exercise. Going through and ranking yourself in each category shows you where you can take immediate action! Do you need to start by walking 30 minutes a day? Do you need to pick up a book or audiobook to work on your profession or mindset? Do you need to sit down and have hard conversations with those closest to you in your life?

Each section has a tally, you have a total tally, this should give you an indicator on where to start first AND if you have to make improvements in each area choose the one that is the most needed. I'll repeat that MOST NEEDED. Not the one you want. For example; IF you need to get into better shape, eat better but you know how much work it's going to be you may be tempted to choose to focus on reading for your mindset or spending more time with God because they are easy. If you're into easy then you're in the wrong place but if you're ready to work on the hard stuff then you're in the right place.

Let's get to work!
